Security

Your bank credentials never touch our servers.

Bank sync runs through Plaid — the secure connection behind thousands of financial apps. Here's exactly how it works, and what we can (and can't) do.

How bank sync works

  1. 1

    You connect through Plaid.

When you link an account, a secure Plaid window opens. You enter your bank login there — directly with your bank, through Plaid. We never see it.

  2. 2

    Plaid shares a read-only view.

Plaid passes us balances and transactions — enough to power your Scoreboard. Read-only means exactly that: visibility, not access.

  3. 3

    You stay in control.

Disconnect any account at any time from your settings. When you disconnect, we stop receiving new data.

What we can and can't do

We can

  • • See balances and transaction history for accounts you choose to sync
  • • Show daily change and historical balances (Pro)
  • • Stop syncing the moment you disconnect

We can't

  • • Move money, make payments, or initiate transfers — ever
  • • See or store your bank username or password
  • • Access any account you haven't connected

FAQ

Do you store my bank login?

No. Your credentials go into Plaid's secure flow and straight to your bank. They are never sent to or stored by The Financial Game Plan.

Can The Financial Game Plan move my money?

No. The connection is read-only. Nothing in the product can initiate a transfer or payment.

What data do you keep?

Only what's needed to run your Scoreboard — balances and transactions from accounts you've connected. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

What happens if I disconnect an account?

Syncing stops immediately. No new data comes in.

Is Plaid safe?

Plaid is the industry-standard way apps connect to banks, used by thousands of financial products. Their security practices are published at plaid.com/security.

Do you sell my data?

No. Never.

Start with the sample plan. Connect a bank when you're ready.
